Marylin Monroe look
So last week was 50 years since Marylin Monroe died. As the make-up junkie I am I decided to mimic her look for one night.
Here's my inspirational pictures. She wears the same very classic 50s look in almost every picture. So that was ofcourse what I went for. Here are some things to think of if you wanna do the same thing :)
You need the most extreme false lashes that you can find. And an eyeliner that you'll wing out. That's it for the eyes really. If you want to you can do some contouring in the crease and under the eye and highlight the inner corner and waterline.
I recommend darkening your eyebrows quite a bit too. The flash is washing out some color off mine.
For the lips, any red works. If you have thinner lips you need to line outside of your natural lips, cause she had really full lips. Even I went a bit over on the upper lip and I have fairly full lips..
The hair needs to be well styled. Either curls or big waves. If you have very long hair you could pin half of it up under the rest of your hair. And I'm sorry brown haired girls (or boys!) You're gonna have to get hold of some blond hair cuz the Marylin look aint gonna work without that.
And a very important detail is the beauty spot over the lip on the cheek. I recommend using an eyeliner pencil. Mainly brown and just a tiny bit of black, so if you mess up it won't be all over the place.
Sorry to ruin the tease in the first pic, but I am wearing a shirt. I just pushed the sleeves down ;)

Earth
So here we have the last element: EARTH. Originally I was going to do something more green, but then figured that the majority of earth isn't actually green but brown. So I did something inbetween. :)
I was really indecisive when doing this. So if you're having a hard time putting a finger on the lid color, it's because there's at least five different ones on it (brown, grey, green, moss, dark brown). The crease is a darker version of all of the lid colors = black. I pulled down the green underneath the eye pretty far so that it would give a dramatic smoky effect.
There was so much brown and grey going on that I had to add the glitter liner.
No full face picture this time. This pink hair might really intersect with the greenyness of this look.
I love this look and I hope you do too. :]
This is the Chinese symbol for earth/harvest.
